Zurich is the most important center of the Swiss media and creative industries. With its location on Lake Zurich, its well-preserved medieval old town, and a diverse cultural offering and nightlife, it is also a center of tourism.The exhibition grounds have been continuously expanded with additional halls.
In 1998, a new compact exhibition building was opened next to the Hallenstadion. It offers a total of 30,000 m² of exhibition space on the ground floor, three upper floors, and a basement. The exhibition center has its own parking garage, the Messe Zürich parking garage, with 2,000 parking spaces.
